Here is some useful information for candidates who are willing to appear in the NET (National Eligibility Test) 2014 examination. The NET December 2014 examination will be conducted by the CBSE board, not by the UGC.
CBSE NET December 2014 Application Form details
So, candidates who are going to apply for UGC NET December 2014, can now apply at the official website cbsenet.nic.in. The online application process for CBSE NET already started from October 15, 2014. CBSE NET December 2014 exam is scheduled to be conducted by the CBSE board on 29th December 2014.
NET exam used to be conducted by the University Grant Commission (UGC) until this year. Even NET June 2014 exam was also conducted by the UGC, but according to a recent notification, NET exam will now be conducted by the CBSE board. UGC NET Result 2014 will be declared by the UGC in October 2014 only.

Online application process ends on: November 15, 2014
Last date of application fee submission through bank challan: November 18, 2014
Last date of receiving the hard copy of application form at the respective center: November 25, 2014

The Joint National Eligibility Test is conducted for Junior research fellowship and eligibility for lectureships. Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has notified the CBSE NET 2014 Entrance exam for junior research fellowship and eligibility for lectureships. The exam is conducted twice in a year. Every year thousands of students appear in the exam.
